Dogs4All - Norsk Vinnerutstilling

The weekend of the 19th and 20th of November it was time for the biggest show of the year in Norway, Dogs4All, Norwegian Winner Show and dog equipment sales fair and breed information stands.

My trip started at 4 a.m. the 18th of November by driving to some very challinging conditions. The road was covered in slush and the car had near to no grip for part of the way, then came heavy snow falls and fog at the same time, still with slippery roads. The trip which should have taken a bit over 2 hours on a normal day, took more than 3,5 hours.  When the road finally turned into wet tarmac and the grip was back, there was a multiple vehichle collision which of course stopped the traffic for some time. Finally arriving at Asker were I ment to park my car during my stay in Oslo 2 hours later than expected. The train, of course, got techinical problems on the first stop after we left the platform at I got even more delayed. But I made it to Oslo and Akershus University College in the end. The return trainride to Asker and following drive to my sister at the other side of Oslo went without any incidents, except for the normal rush hour traffic.

Saturday the 19th of November at 07:30 a.m. I arrived at Dogs4All, and was going to work as a ring steward for the Swedish judge Carl-Gunnar Staffberg. A pleasant day in the ring were both judge and writer was nice people to work with. The day started out a bit chaotic as the first couple of breeds were divided in several rings. The rest of the day went with a quick and effective pace.

lovely physical condition. Excellen expression of head. strong neck. still his back is soft. good movement

Excellent, 3. beste juniorhann

she is too slim. Typical size. Excellent line of head. Dark eyes. Dry neck. Action in frontlegs are too soft. Action of back legs are very typical.
Excellent, 3. beste junior tispe.

she has typical proportions. excelent head. dark eyes. her front is a litlle bit too straight. exlcellent size of bones. nice tail. nice coat. front legs are a little bit outside. back legs are parallell in action. very nice temperament.
Excellent.

Sunday the 20th of November our dogs were set to go in the ring. Judge for the day was Viva Maria Soleckyj Szpunar from Poland. A very quick judge, so you better pay attention. We showed 3 dogs this day.

First out was our Serbian young male Northsprings Green Lake, Bolt. Handled by his co-owner Monica Alteskjær Sundset.

lovely physical condition. Excellen expression of head. strong neck. still his back is soft. good movement

Excellent, 3rd best junior male

When all the males were judge, our Snøfrost Unike Beringia had her turn in the ring.

Excellent, 3rd best junior bitch
I'm very happy with Excellent on Beringia from this judge, as she is of a type I didn't think she would appreciate too much.

In intermediate class our last dog was out in the ring Snøfrost Skimmrende Stjernelys
she has typical proportions. excelent head. dark eyes. her front is a litlle bit too straight. exlcellent size of bones. nice tail. nice coat. front legs are a little bit outside. back legs are parallell in action. very nice temperament.
Excellent.

Not the greatest results, but a very nice day by and in the ring. Congratulations to the winners!
A photo album from the show may be seen here

Not the least we got to meet Bolt again. I haven't seen him since I picked him up, and my husband hadn't seen him at all. Bolt got his very own photoshoot outside the hall.

14mnd stilfull elegant tispe, herlig hode, godt pelsede ører, ok underkjeve, utmerket hals og overlinje, skal enda utvikles mye i brystet, brede fine lår, allerede bra musklet, sterke haser og kneledd, enda litt svak i front, korrekt formede føtter, enda ubalansert frem og tilbake, herlig driv fra siden, god pelskvalitet. Godt vist

Today we went to a national dog show at Kongsberg to show under the Norwegian judge Eli-Marie Klepp. We brought with us Beringia in junior class and Stjerne in intermediate class. There were 11 Siberians present, 2 puppies, 2 males and 7 bitches. All the dogs today were of a high quality, which were made apparent from the results they got as well.

First to enter the ring from us was Snøfrost Unike Beringia, she got the following critique:

14 months, stylish and elegant btich, lovely head, well furred ears, ok lower jaw, excellent neck and topline, shall still develop a lot in the chest, good broad thighs, already well muscled, strong pasterns and knees, still a bit week in front, correctly shaped feet, still a bit imbalanced in comming and going, lovely drive from the side, good coat quality. Well shown.

Excellent and best junior

Then it was Snøfrost Skimrende Stjernelys' time to enter the ring in intermediate class

Elegant bitch, good breed details, excellent head, well furred ears, strong lower jaw, good strong neck, well placed shoulders, a thouch long in the topline, good with of the thighs, well muscled, strong legs, excellent pastern hight, still a bit imbalanced in comming and going will get better as the chest comes down. Beautiful and elegant.
Excellent, best intermediate bitch with CK (Champion quality), and to my big surprise she turend out to become best bitch with CAC, and in the end beat the dog and ended up as Best in Breed!
I didn't dare belive this would be the outcome as we had some real sharp competition today.
